Parking is one of the most common deal-breakers in Seattle condo purchases, and it is also one of the most misunderstood. Some buildings include a deeded parking space with every unit. Others sell parking separately, and a single stall can cost $30,000 to $75,000 in Downtown or Belltown. A few newer buildings were built without any parking at all, banking on transit-oriented buyers. You need to know what you are getting into before you make an offer.

The type of parking matters too. Tandem stalls, mechanical stackers, and compact-only spots all create different ownership experiences. A deeded space is an asset you can sell or rent. An assigned space in a shared garage has different legal standing.
