About 606 Post Lofts
606 Post Lofts is a Mid-Rise building in Pioneer Square, Seattle. Built in 1900 with 10 residences across 4 stories.
Building Details
14 loft residences in a 5-story Richardsonian Romanesque landmark at 606 Post Ave, Pioneer Square. Built 1890 — one of Seattle’s oldest surviving residential buildings.
In 1889, Seattle’s Great Fire leveled Pioneer Square, destroying the original wooden structures of the city’s first central business district. What rose in its place was a neighborhood of masonry buildings — and 606 Post Ave is one of the finest survivors of that era.
Constructed in 1890 by architects Elmer Fisher and Emil DeNeuf in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, the building originally served as the Fisher and McDonald Wholesale Store before becoming the Post Hotel. Today it contains 14 residential loft units — an intimate, boutique community in one of Seattle’s most architecturally significant neighborhoods.
The building features a secure lobby and key-access elevator. Residents are steps from the central waterfront, Pike Place Market, sports stadiums, the Pioneer Square arts district, and the dining and coffee corridors that have defined the neighborhood for decades. For buyers who prioritize authentic character, urban access, and a true sense of Seattle history, 606 Post Lofts is one of the most distinctive addresses in the city.
